Paintings, Drawings & Prints
As I contemplate the world or sit in meditation, I sometimes see flashes of indistinct images. These slowly develop, perhaps by painting, a printmaking technique or a mixed bag of media. I watch as they develop, travel through several stages and come to some sort of conclusion.
Fiber Art & Installations
The past several years were primarily years for painting. More recently, the fiber arts of cultures throughout the world have become an interest -- dyeing, stitching and sculpting forms. Very often I combine them with paintings, drawings or prints.
In the past several years, I have experimented with installation pieces. I worked as a garden designer and am intrigued by the arrangement of space. I[ve also become interested in the spatial possibilities of textiles and have incorporated those into the work.
